Reliable Computer Forensic Evidence

Elementary is not "just another forensic company". Most in our industry rely heavily on one or two computer forensic programs, and some add little value beyond reciting the answer produced by the software. We're different. While we do use the standard computer forensic programs, we do not blindly rely on them as some others do. (Computer forensic programs have been known to generate incorrect results). We produce and use our own forensic software. We are experts in the reliability of computer forensic programs and processes. We are scientifically trained and employ robust scientific methods in our computer forensic work.

This year I was a co-author and co-presenter (with His Hon Judge David Harvey) of the Law Society CLE seminar on Computer Forensics. The main theme of that seminar was how to ensure that computer forensic evidence was reliable and admissible - especially in light of s.137 Evidence Act 2006.
